Mobile Occupational Therapist Port Macquarie

We offer individual therapy services within the clinic, home, day-care, preschool or school environment across Port Macquarie and surrounds.  Bec will work closely with and will be in regular contact with other professionals involved with your child including Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, teachers and tutors to ensure that there is a whole team approach and to provide strategies which can easily be incorporated into everyday school and home life.

Assessment

An individual 90-minute assessment is conducted using a range of standardised and non-standardised assessment tools to gather information to determine a course of action for your child’s therapy and provide baseline information from which to work from. Direct observation of your child in particular settings may be necessary, for example on the playground at school or in their classroom.

Individual Therapy

Intervention sessions can be 30, 45 or 60-minute sessions long depending on your child’s needs.  These sessions are performed in your child’s preschool, school or home.

Group Therapy

School readiness and grade-specific intervention groups run in conjunction with a local Speech and Language Pathologist- coming soon!

Screening

Grade or group-specific screening provided in preschools and schools.

Telehealth

Individual assessment and therapy is available via Telehealth using a secure video platform to deliver therapy services.  This makes therapy possible due to geographical location or because of health and safety risks, eg COVID-19.
